Siân is playwright who discovered writing after being made redundant from her public sector career. Having written a play by accident, she decided she liked writing them and carried on.
Her first full-length play Gazing at a Distant Star was produced by Greenwich Theatre in London and at Edinburgh Fringe and her writing has been longlisted for the Verity Bargate, Papatango, Funny Women awards and BBC Writers Room. She is a graduate of the Criterion new writing programme, a reviewer for London Pub Theatres and script reader and international assistant for the Finborough Theatre.
Siân is also a freelance education adviser, trainer and writer specialising in PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education). She is the author is Making PSHE Matter published by Jessica Kingsley Publishing.
Sometimes she combines both careers by working with theatremakers to create workshops for children and young people
